Wild Horse Media Group is a multimedia company based in Fort Worth, Texas, that includes book publishing imprints, Eakin Press, NorTex Press and Wild Horse Press. Wild Horse Media Group also owns Cowboy Bookworm, a retail company specializing in books and DVDs about the West, rodeo and the cowboy way of life.The company dates to 2005 when Wild Horse Press and Cowboy Bookworm were formed to specialize in book publishing and retail sales, respectively. While book publishing was intended to be the primary business of the company, Cowboy Bookworm found a niche market in the world of rodeo and sales have grown steadily.
In April of 2013, Wild Horse Media Group acquired Eakin Press and NorTex Press from Sunbelt Media. Eakin Press was one of the largest and oldest independent book publishers in Texas with more than 1,000 titles. NorTex Press was the custom publishing arm of Sunbelt Media and for more than forty years with historical groups on custom projects.
